The Arxiu Comarcal de l'Urgell (ACUR) in Catalonia is currently accepting applications for their 2024 residency program. This program aims to support creators and researchers from any scientific or artistic discipline who want to use documents and archives as the basis for their work. The residency provides resources, equipment, and temporary housing in the town center to aid in the research and creation process. It emphasizes cultural exchange and dialogue between the residents and the local community.

The program's objectives include fostering artistic research within a public archive, aiding in the artistic interpretation of documents, encouraging dialogue between the artist and the host city, and promoting a transdisciplinary approach to archives.

Artists from any sector of art, culture, or science are invited to apply. The chosen projects will span 15 to 28 days, occurring between the 1st and 28th of July 2024. The selection process will be conducted by a committee of archivists, historians, university lecturers, and renowned artists. You can find contact information on the ACUR's website
