The Delfina Foundation, supported by its Network of Central Asia Patrons, invites contemporary visual artists from Central Asia to apply for a London residency. This 12-week program runs from March 31st to June 22nd, 2025, coinciding with the foundation's spring residency season.
Eligible applicants must be nationals of and/or currently residing and working in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.
Selected artists will receive a comprehensive residency package at Delfina Foundation, including:
— Round-trip economy-class airfare
— UK airport transfers
— Visa fee reimbursement (if applicable)
— Daily living allowance of £35
— £1,000 materials budget
— Local travel pass for London's tube and bus network
Private bedroom in Delfina Foundation's shared residence, which accommodates up to 8 artists and features communal bathrooms, laundry facilities, kitchen, library, and dining area
The residency activities at Delfina Foundation also include:
— Guided visits to museums, galleries, non-profits, artist-run spaces and studios, as well as trips to institutions outside London
— Opportunities to meet and engage with artists, curators, academics and researchers through organized presentations, studio visits, events and meals
— Professional development activities such as presentations, crits, portfolio reviews, and mentoring to strengthen artistic practice
— Collaborative exchange between residents through informal gatherings and meals
