Series of Lectures, Film Screenings, and Concerts to be Held at Strelka

Seasonal events will begin on May 28th

The Institute for Media, Architecture and Design in Moscow returns with the public program Summer at Strelka 2021: Open Source. From May to September, organizers, invited guests, and visitors will explore the world in which we all find ourselves: phenomena, processes, practices, and technologies of the present.

 This summer there will be discussions and events from the festival format, bike rides, and sports trainings. Among the planned topics of the events are:

–Ecology: where the boundaries of responsibility lie: on digital sustainability and ecoactivism in 2021;

–City: how to change the environment by acting together: on the principles of a comfortable environment for all categories of citizens;

–Design: why keep experimenting: a conversation with industry innovators;

–Technologies: Where We Are Now: about the distant future, which has already become everyday;

–Immortality: How to Design Eternity: a conversation about the culture of wellness practices from the point of view of architecture.

 In addition, the institute will host festival screenings of the VI Strelka Film Festival, the “Other Worlds” conference, and events of the architects.rf program, and the Strelka bar will host concerts and parties from the pop-up project Jameson Yard from May 28th.
