Additionally, The Asian Cultural Council encourages proposals that explore the relationship between the arts, technology, and culture. Professionals from the following countries are invited to apply: Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Mainland China, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, the U.S., Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam.
The Asian Cultural Council recognizes the importance of long-term, immersive experiences in expanding perspectives and fostering valuable international connections between professionals in fields such as Archaeology, Architecture, Dance, Visual Arts, Literature, Ethnomusicology, and others. Therefore, the grant goes beyond mere travel funding and offers a unique opportunity for recipients to design their own experience and fully immerse themselves in a different culture.
The selection process, including panel review and interviews, will take place from December 1st, 2023, to April 30th, 2024. Board approval and notification to the grantees will occur in mid-May 2024. The grant offers funding of up to $35,000 to support the proposed activities.
